This is going to be a four part blog. This part is only the introduction. The ones to follow will be Everyday Life for You, Everyday Life for me, and Everyday Life for Them. A few people and a few events from this morning really impacted me and have become the final inspiration for this. God has finally given me the words and the vision to make this blog happen and he’s not going to let me sleep until I at least get part of it out.  So without further ado…

Our lives make up a story.

That story is filled with moments.

                      Those moments make up time.

Time is always hurrying past us

                                        AND running away.

                                                It’s too strong to stop,

                                                       BUT too sweet to lose.

We all share in moments with each other, but not one single person  has the same story or faces the exact same reality.

Now get this.

We have an AMAZING father who has a will for everyone’s life,

                                                                                                  is working in everyone’s life,

and can keep everyone’s everyday life straight!

I know it’s difficult to begin to even fathom how this can be so, but it is and the good news is that we do not have to worry about it.

Living in the Philippines this month has been absolutely wonderful and the one thing God has taught me was the importance and the reality of everyday life. Everyday life is something different for every person you happen across. It’s different for you, for me, and for the people I come across on this journey. It’s a choice of whether or not to let God in, to pursue a relationship with the creator of the universe, to lean into his arms when life gets hard, and to allow him to alter your life for the better even if it hurts .

I’ve come to realize this month that my everyday life is all for the kingdom. Even if I wasn’t traveling all over the world as a missionary for a year. To know that God is using me in every single moment of my life because I have chosen to allow him to do so is life altering. These next few blogs I hope to delve in deeper to this topic of everyday life and inspire you. I hope they  speak to your heart. And I think  God does too.
