So I have sat here staring at my screen for some time wondering how to put into words how I feel; to describe how much you mean to me and words just won't do it justice. I know that in our past we have had our moments where we drove each other crazy, but the past few years have been different. I really look up to and how much you trust the Lord. You are a strong man of God who had to put up with 3 pretty crazy but tough daughters. Let me just name a few times.
Moment #1: I broke my wrist when I was 6 while attempting to see who could fly further by jumping off a swing at the babysitters and the next day was swinging from the monkey bars with my hot pink cast on.
Moment #2: We rode motorcycles through many a storm and still managed to survive.
Moment #3: Climbing trees, catching frogs, and playing in the big mud hole on the second driveway probably made you laugh at our attempts to be tomboys.
Moment #4: Helping you pull out nails from lumber only to get a crowbar stuck in my head.
Moment #5: You taking me to Hunters safety class only to get blown backwards practically falling on my butt after shooting a gun and saying never again.
Moment #6: You letting me go on the World Race even though I know you didn't want to let me go.
I realize I may have caused you many a worry growing up. Not because I was ever a rebellious teen, as a matter of fact I was very well behaved because of the way I was brought up, but because I was so acciddent prone. I have a strong determination and some true "grit" that I know I get from you. That and my stubborness. I know letting me go on the world race wasn't easy. Afterall I am your firstborn daughter and I know you didn't want me to get hurt. However allowing me to go has made me grow even more. You would shocked if you saw me today. I have changed so much and grown so much that I can't wait for you to see that new me. I'm all grown up. More confident and more sure of myself because you trusted God to guide me and protect me while on the world race. I miss you very much and cannot wait to come home and eat ice cream with you again! Seriously there is like no ice cream in Africa. haha
Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I wouldn't be where I am without your love and support!
I love you Daddy!
