Can you list the names of the people who built the cathedrals? The achitects maybe yes, but what about the people who actually built it? Those people devoted their whole lives to a work they would probably never see finished. They spent time on details that would never show because God would see it. They made great sacrifices for no earthly credit.

Well are we not doing the same? Here I am in Phuket, Thailand where the Lord has called me. I spend my time down in bars on Bangla talking to the woman that work there. We make friendships and let God work through us. We are only here for a month and will probably not come back here. But our work is not in vain it's just a little bit more added to the cathedral. God sees it and he is smiling.

We work on the land for future housing for our ministry contact. We have been building stairs, Cutting down the jungle, pouring cement, digging holes, painting wood, and watering flowers. I doubt we will be back to see the completed vision, but we are working. Our names will not be wriitten down as the ones who helped with this cathedral.
Parents, you are building catherdrals too. You are loving on your children and teaching them how to grow up. Chances are and your hopes are probably that they will out live you. Therefore, you won't see the completion of the cathedral you built, but your work is not in vain. Keep building.
In reality we are all building cathedrals for the Kingdom of God. One day I suppose we will see the completion of our works, but not in our earthly lives. Chances are that our names will never be remembered and we probably won't get recognition for the work we do either, but yet we continue to serve and keep building with smiles on our faces and with joy in our hearts.
