Guatemala, such a beautiful  place full of culture and history.  Guatemala has stolen a piece of my heart, the people here are so delightful they each have their own story to tell that pulls you in. Our team has been in Antigua  for the past month at first it felt like I was such a stranger in this place but as the month went on we started to build relationships. We can now walk into one of our favorite coffee/food shop and be greeted by not strangers but family. The people here in Antigua have become so much like family it feels strange to leave.

The kids at the orphanage feel like my brothers and sister (yes sister there is only one girl) Its so nice to walk in and be greeted with kisses from Manuel, of seeing martin laying in his bed giggling and making noises to himself.

Just the sounds and smells of Guatemala draw me in. It is so different from home here but at the same time there is something so familiar that reminds me of home. Maybe its the sound of the rain, Ha or the car alarms going off at 3am but whatever it is Guatemala has stolen a place in my heart and the people have become like family here.
