Wise words by Mother Teresa. I am so inspired by this woman of faith. She gave up everything she had to serve the people of this world, to give hope to the hopeless, to love the unloved, hold the dying, to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. I once was reading an article about how she only owned one pair of shoes, those shoes had holes in them and were to small and made her feet deformed. She was so selfless in her ministry that she would not buy herself new shoes because that money needed to go some place else.
Wow I want to lead a life like that! I want to go where the Lord says go. Do what the Lord says do. Say what the Lord says to say. Many times I have people come up to me and say things like ” your going to be the next Mother Teresa”, “you love kids so much you are like Mother Teresa” “I think you will win a nobel peace prize like Mother Teresa”. Thats cool and all but I want to be Me not Mother Teresa, but I do want to live my life in such a way to be an example to those around me as she was. I do want to go into the world and fight for my brothers and sisters, to love those who have never felt love, to feed the hungry, give clean water to the thirsty, to bring hope to a hopeless place, to help reveal Jesus in every place I go ( Jesus is already there so I don’t need to bring Jesus, some times you just need to help reveal him). I want to be a light in a dark place, help restore the broken, abused and forgotten, I want people to look at me and not see me at all but to Jesus.
That is the life that I want to lead, What about you? What are you going to do with your life? Will you impact someones life today? Don’t waste your life, get up and do what God has called you to do. There is some much more the Lord has planned for you. No matter where you live, how old you are, what race you are, what your life is like the Lord has so much in store for you so walk in that and take the leap of faith to trust in Him and just DO!
