So after I posted my last blog, everything changed! Unfortunately a person from my squad tested positive for covid which meant we were all exposed. We didn’t fly out for Nicaragua on the 8th as expected which is totally okay:) I didn’t sign up to be in Nicaragua, I signed up to be wherever Jesus needed me. God uses every situation and can turn it into good.

When we found out we couldn’t leave for another 7-10 days (maybe sooner maybe later) I honestly wasn’t too upset and I’ll tell you why. A popular verse in this time I think of is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” WORD. When your eyes are focused on God’s heart you will know that everything has a purpose and He works ALL things together for good. He knows the end!

It’s actually super cool because my squad was moved to a small Christian camp and we all share a room with one other person with our own bathrooms and beds! A luxury we haven’t had for what seems like forever. Our squad is broken up into about 5 teams so we’re staying in our teams and distancing from the other teams. We also have our own meal plans for each team so just this morning we sat with our teams and tried to figure out what foods we would need to get with a budget of $5 per person per day. And we are going to finish our training here instead of in Nicaragua (obviously).

All is well. I’m content with where God has us and even if I wasn’t content, He’s still God and He still knows what’s up.

Prayer requests: I would appreciate if people prayed for peace for our team and our leadership. Our leadership has been so amazing with dealing with solutions and paying attention to the details but they are humans and need some clarity and rest and peace. Also, prayer for the people who have to isolate themselves from the squad. It’s hard being away from community so just prayer for peace & comfort.
