Well everyone, I made it to Georgia! My amazing Mom and I drove down to Georgia on Friday morning, spent Saturday together, and said our goodbyes on Sunday. I’ve only been here for 4 full days and I’ve felt myself grow so much in my relationship with the Lord.

One of the things I realized right when I got here was how big God is. How thoughtful He is. Y’all he is way bigger than I imagined. I think we can get so caught up in our everyday routine that we miss out on how God is moving. Sometimes it’s good to take a step back and reflect on what’s happening and what God is trying to tell us/show us.

Something they’re teaching us here and mention a lot is the Cave, the Road, and the Table. It’s something that not only can you practice if you’re on the World Race but if you’re at home. Here’s what they mean.

The Cave is an intimate space with God. Just you and God. It could be in the early morning, your lunch time, while you’re chilling in your room, in your car etc. It’s quiet time with God.

The Road is a place of mission and risk. It requires you to Go. To be interruptible.

The Table is my favorite. The Table is a relational place. A place where you come together and break bread. Where you relate, remember, and reflect. A place where community comes together to talk and bring Jesus into the conversations. To laugh and cry and love and talk. I love it.

These things are really important in our everyday lives. It’s something that I think Christians should practice because it reflects how Jesus lived. Each one of these things were something that Jesus valued; time with God alone, going and talking to people and changing lives and being interruptible, and breaking bread at the table.
I love it here. Its so different than my life in Buffalo. I’m never alone except for in the porta potties and the storage container showers, I sleep on the floor next to my whole squad and I pretty much wear the same outfit everyday. But I wouldn’t change it for anything if it means that I’m living and loving Jesus.

Please pray for my squad, my leaders, and I as we fly to Nicaragua tomorrow morning and that all of our COVID tests come back negative!! I’m thinking about everyone back home and praying for you. Thank you for all your support. 🙂
