Blog time! Hi people! I’m posting this on a Monday because I’ve been pretty busy the past couple of days and didn’t have time to write. So let’s do this!

On Monday 2/15, we arrived in Turrialba for our next ministry. That morning/day was very difficult for me because we were leaving Pejibaye. I love the people there so much and we all got so close to them. I cried A LOT! After 10 minutes of being on the bus to Turrialba I was still crying! Haha. But I guess that’s a good thing because that just showed me that those people and that place really made an impression on my heart.

When we got to the church I was instantly filled with gratitude. The pastor here really cares for us. First off, the church is beautiful. Second, there’s so much to be thankful for here. Bunk beds, showers, a washer for our clothes, and best of all… a ping pong table! We’re also 5 minutes away from a Walmart. The Lord really provides.

For ministry here at the church we’ve been painting and washing ceiling tiles. We took the tiles down, rinsed and cleaned them, let them dry, and then put them all back up. It was a long process and at some points I got so frustrated. I couldn’t understand why the heck I was doing this and what good it was doing. There were a lot of tiles y’all! But later on, somebody asked how we could see God in this process and it was a total perspective change. Everyone’s answers were good. Like for example, the tiles represent us and how dirty with sin we are and then God takes us and washes us clean. He goes through the act of cleaning us over and over. A lot of the tiles would get marks on them right after we cleaned them and would get us frustrated once again. We thought about how God reacts when we fail over and over, getting dirty time and time again. He would react with grace. So yeah, that has been a constant question the whole time I’ve been on the race; How can I see God in this situation?

My team also got to run a youth service. Me and two other of my team members (shout-out to Lindsey and Callie) sang with the worship team. We also did the skit to the song Everything by Lifehouse and I got to speak about it after. My great and wonderful team mate Hannah brought the word after the skit and she KILLED it!

I really really love my team. I think some time in these next 4 months I’ll make a blog post for each of them because they are honestly the best people ever and I’m so thankful for them. I would love each of you to meet them. This week was also really great for us because we got SO close because of some things we walked through together. I encourage you all to surround yourself with friends who will stand by you and encourage you because life gets pretty hard sometimes.

So what’s next? This Saturday my whole squad will be meeting up for debrief for about 4-5 days! We’ll be learning a whole lot about God and what He’s been doing through each other. We haven’t seen each other in a month and so much has happened so I’m excited to see everyone!

Thank you all for the love and support. If you have any prayer requests I would love if you messaged me on instagram, facebook, email, or whatever you prefer! Again, thank you all<3
