“Gods presence is not the same as the feeling of God’s presence, and He may be doing most for us when we think He is doing least” ~C.S. Lewis
This week God has been changing my heart. He’s been pursuing and stirring in it. Making it softer, more sensitive. He’s been showing me that He’s always with me, even when I might not feel it or think it. He’s been putting a passion in my heart for this place and these people. The world in general.
My favorite time of the day is the morning. Every morning I’ve been waking up at 5:15 and spending time with the Lord. It has dramatically changed my life. I used to not be hype about reading my Bible, for what reason I don’t know because every time I read it God shows me something crazy about Himself. But lately I’ve been reading the book of Esther and the Lord is showing me so much about His character. God is never mentioned in the book of Esther but it is so evident that God had His hand on everything. He’s active behind the scenes, constantly working. And I thought to myself, that’s kind of how we experience Him today. He might not be parting the Red Sea or making it rain manna but he’s in the details throughout the day and throughout our lives. In Esther, He was constantly moving pieces and working things out just like He does in our lives. It might be hard to see how He’s working until later on when we see the full picture, but never underestimate the ways of the Lord. He loves you and will keep you. If you can’t see how He’s working, ask Him to show you. Or think about your testimony. Think and remember all that God has done for you. Open your eyes. Also, if you are pursuing the Lord, it will be easier to see Him in your everyday lives.
For closing, I just wanted to share something I’ve been praying about for me and my team. It’s really just a word and the word is consume. I pray that over all of you who are reading this that God would just consume you. Your mind, your heart, everything. I pray that you’ll see Him constantly whether that be in nature, your drive to work, making dinner, going to sleep. Consume!!!! Open your hearts!!! Invite God in! And I promise your life will be totally transformed!!!
Here’s a little update about where we’re headed. Tomorrow morning we’ll be leaving for Turrialba where we’ll be staying at another church. Turrialba is about 40 minutes from where we’re staying now. My team and I are verrryyy sad to be leaving where we are now. We’ve gotten so close to this community and they’ve impacted us so much. They’re our family and now we have to leave! I’ll definitely be coming back in the future:)
I love you all! Thank you for your prayers and support<3
