Well thus far, Nigeria has been every
bit as welcoming and friendly of a country as the rest of West
Africa. That’s not to say that we are running around at night with
our cameras hanging out, looking like we want to make a donation to
the local thugs. But I have felt safe every where we have gone. And
just as I was saying to my squad before we got here, I believe that
this will end up being one of our best months yet. Otherwise why
would the enemy have put so much effort into trying to get inside our
heads with fear and making the visas such a pain in the ass to get.
In my mind, anytime you run up against that kind of resistance, there
must be something good coming. So I am excited to see what this month
holds and can’t wait to tell and hear all the stories that are going
to come out of it.

Every time we told someone we where
coming here, we got the same responses. They all were coming out of
fear and fear only comes from one place, the enemy. It got to the
point were I went from wondering if there was some truth to it. To a
place were it was almost funny because they sounded the same every
time. No one had any real reasons that we should be worried but just
a general oh that place is bad, the people there are mean or what
ever. But none of them had even ever been here. And the ones that
had, all said to be smart but not to worry about it.

Even with the visas, we had one thing
after another that caused us problems and we stopped at one point
and said are we even suppose to go? Are we really called to Nigeria?
And so we began to pray into it and ask if we were really suppose to
go. And everyone felt that we should keep pressing ahead unless we
run into another wall and then we would stop and analyze the
situation again. After that we didn’t have any issues with the visas.
Everything just fell into place.

So here we are in Nigeria, my team is
staying with a wonderful pastor and his family who are taking great
care of us and we will begin ministry tonight, going around our
neighborhood and just talking to people and telling them about
Christ’s love. We have an internet cafe just around the corner so I
should able to write more blogs and stay in touch more this month. I
love and miss you all.
