It’s the little things.

So I was in the western style grocery store about a week ago and found Granny Smith apples, which happen to be the best apples in the world for making apple pie 🙂 And I thought to myself how much I would love to have an apple pie. But we don’t have an oven, nor have we had one for the last 5 months. So I bought a couple of them to eat. As I was going to the register I ran into Allison and was telling her how they had Granny Smiths. And she made a comment about how she would love and apple pie for her birthday which was coming up in a couple days. I was wishing that I could bake her one but no oven.

The next day I was talking to April and she was saying how the family that she has been working with is helping some locals start a baking business. I told her about wanting to bake a pie and bingo, an oven. So I baked a huge apple crisp and actually have enough apples left over make one for the family that let us use there oven. We gave it to Allison and of course enjoyed it ourselves as well.

God doesn’t stop at just meeting our needs but also gives His kids goodies. The very next night we are over at one of the missionary families house cooking dinner and they were letting one of the locals use their oven to cook an apple pie for her sisters birthday and she left another one for us. Two pies, two nights in a row, wow that’s awesome. But just to make sure that we get it, four days later we are over at the pastor’s house for dinner and you guessed it, two more apple pies.
