Cambodia Round Two

This month is ATL(Ask The Lord) month here on World Race. Which means that we didn’t have prearranged ministries but instead we started asking the Lord last month were he would like us to go this month, with the options being Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. We landed on  Cambodia and are back working with our same contacts New Life Ministries. This time, instead of going out to villages, we will be working at the main office, helping them get caught up from the last rush of teams that came through and getting ready for the next ones.

It is a great chance to bless a ministry that has been a huge blessing to World Race and to do stuff that is different from what we have been doing for the last four months. So far I have been working in the medical teams office. They get in medical supplies from teams that come through and other people who donate them. The supplies then, in turn, get sent out to the villages to be used. With all this stuff coming and going they need a system to track it all.  It makes it hard to have any idea what is in the office and what they need the next team to bring. So I am inventorying all the supplies and trying to build a system that will be quick and easy to use so that future volunteers will actually use it. Hopefully leaving them with something that will continue to make there lives easier for years to come after we leave.

It has been really nice doing something that almost feels like a normal job. We go in a 8:30 and get off at 5 and even have a lunch break. And now that I think about it it more like a normal job than the jobs I normally have.
