A few days ago I was in the living room of our host home and I started watching the movie Sarafina. It’s about the take on the South African struggles against Apartheid in the mid-1970s, during the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela. As I was watching it my heart started to break. Just of how all the injustice that went on during that time.
After watching that movie, I sat there thinking about how much injustice and civil wars happen all over the world. Then a thought came to mind!
What if?! What if?!
What if people from every state would pray for different countries around the world?!
We have 50 states and there are around 200 countries around the world.
So what I did is list the states in alphabetical order and then beside it I listed all the countries in alphabetical order by continent.
My question for you is…
Will you partner with me in
a 40-day prayer journey?
Whichever state you are from or residing in, you would pray for your state and the countries beside it. You can pray for as many as you want also. There’s no specific time limit on prayer however long you want and whenever you think or hear about that country say a little prayer.
2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…"
I have one request and that is to pray for the following focuses.
Three main focuses for each country is:
- That a revival of the Lord’s spirit would fall on each place in a new way.
- Pray for the Missionaries serving in those countries or that there would be missionaries in those countries.
- And last is, I challenge you to take time and read up about each country that you are praying for and see what is going on there and pray over them.
