Antigua!
Here I am. We flew into Guatemala City then took an hour drive to Antigua.
We are staying in a hostel with about 20 rooms. It’s called Mochileros.
Half of our team is here and the other is across the street at Casa Shalom.
It is very cultural and beautiful. The streets are made of cobblestone they aren’t even paved. I’m loving every moment and I’ve only been here for over 36 hours. If I love it now, just imagine how much more I’m going to love it in the coming days…weeks…months!
We haven’t done too much stuff. We walked around the city, shopped for food, exchanged money and just went sight seeing for a little bit.
We have orientation today and then a few other meetings to get acquainted with what we are to expect and what’s expected from us.
There is an active Volcano in Antigua and I’m pretty sure that there were ashes falling from it today, or someone was burning trash.
Also when it rains here… It Rains!! Walking back from the market we got caught in the storm and were pretty soaked by the time we got back to our hostel!
Well that’s about all right now.
Keep your eyes out for my next Blog.
See ya soon!
Love ya!
P.S. – Here’s a Few photos of Antigua
