God has taught me so much this month, and I want to share some of that with you. It is amazing how much joy there is in my life when my heart fully understands some of the deep spiritual truths found in the Bible. Here are big 3:
1. Obedience– Christ set the law so that we may live free from the consequences of sin. His law is like a guideline for us to experience the abundant life he has purposed for us.
2. Jesus– has become the object on which we can visibly see and look to when we think of God. The people in the Old Testament longed to have some physical object to worship so they make a calf of gold. Now we have an object, Jesus, to worship. There is no greater picture of our God than what Jesus did for us on the cross.
3. Spiritual Warefare– It’s amazing when people come to know Christ the devil puts targets on the backs of believers. Knowing that he is going to do everything in his power to steel, kill, and destroy the amazing life God has purposed for us. The devil is also known as the father of lies and his voice is so strong in our society today. I find it crazy how one lie can affect someone so much. From early on, believing the lie that says, “you are unworthy of love”, can cause someone to fall into drugs, sex, severe depression and even suicide. This is just one of the lies that the devil tries to get us to believe. What about the lies like:
-You are ugly,
-You will always be alone
-No one loves you
-You will never be good enough
-You are weak
-You have no value to society
-Your life is worth nothing
-You are fat
-You are dumb
-Your parents don’t really love you
-You have no friends
-Your dreams can’t come true
The list goes on and on. And from lies like these, we start to believe that they are true. As a result, it affects our thoughts, will, and emotions. We become downcast, depressed, and hurt. We have bitterness, anger, depression, sadness, loneliness, guilt, shame, and fear. These awful things start to affect our body and we continue in this downward cycle. But GOD, He has the answer we all need. “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest… (Matthew 11:28).”
-He is truth in the midst of lies. For He says, you are unconditionally loved
-You are beautiful- made in my image, made fearfully and wonderfully.
-You will never be alone- for I will never leave you nor forsake you
-I Love you -You are good enough, you are a new creation the old has passed away behold the-new has come.
-You are strong- in your weakness you are strong
-You have invaluable to me- I gave my one and only son for you
-Your life is worth so much- I paid the highest price (Jesus) for you
-You are perfect in everyway because I made you
-You are smart -I am or your true Father and I love you no matter what happens
-I have plans you’re your future.-Your dreams matter to me and I want you to fulfill those dreams I put on your heart.
If we as believers truly and fully embrace the truths God has for us, it may just allow us to break down the barriers of sin and allow us to gently help others deal with the issues and lies they have believed from the beginning. Get it at the root, the lie, the bad seed that was planted from the beginning if order to make us fall away from the one who purposed us. Thank you again for all your prayers, your financial support, and for your love. As I begin this season of intentional ministry, I pray that you would be strengthen in your faith as you hear the stories and truths that God continues to reveal to me!
