New Brother in Mongolia
Let me just explain the details of the God setting up my day. This morning I simply rolled out of bed at 8:15am after having a late night till 2:00am. I quickly showered before a meeting with one of our squad leaders at 8:30am. We simply ate breakfast at the hostel and had a cup of tea and talked for 45 minutes before the day got going.
I then took the next hour to be with the Lord and see what He had before my next meeting. It just so happened that Emily was late in meeting me which turned out to be a divine plan by the Lord.
We ended up meeting at 10:30am in front of this restaurant and decided we were just going to walk and talk since we only had till 11:00am. Literally not even 2 minutes later, some random Mongolian guy, who spoke pretty good English, approached us.
After a couple minutes of mindless conversation and finding out his name is Bogi, I found myself hearing Holy Spirit say, “Ask Him if He knows ME?” So I simply did just that. I asked, “Do you know Jesus?” His reaction was about crazy as it could get. He said, “Jesus &#*@($*# Christ!” I said, “Yes, I feel like I’m supposed to tell you about HIM.”
He then made a joke or two and then opens his jacket up and said, “What should I do just let him in?” And I simply said “yes.” I told him a who Jesus was and what makes HIM significant. And He asked, “How do I do this?” I told him you can just pray with me. I prayed and he repeated it right back to the Lord. I then said, “Now I’m going to pray over you.” I prayed some bold prayers over him for deliverance and freedom from alcohol and a transformed heart and mind.
He literally turns to me and hugs me. He said, “What is happening in my body?” I told him that, “This is the Lord working in you. Do you want me to pray again?” He responded joyfully, “Yes!” I prayed again over his mind and for deliverance and the Holy Spirit was wrecking his life. We then talked a little more before he asked us to go to coffee right then and there. I responded with him I actually have a meeting at 11:00am but if you want I will meet you at 12:30pm.
So, I went to my meeting with Brittani at 11:00am and told her what happened. She responded to me, “Why don’t you just go?” I told her, “That I value the time with her and we have planned it three times and he was wiling to wait.” So we went and got some coffee and caught up on what God is dong in us.
Then at 12:30pm, I met with Emily Cook again and we walked over to this other coffee shop. We spent the next 2 hours discipling him through simply helping him understand the truth! I explained the parable of the farmer scattering the seed in Matthew 13. We talked about how we are fighting against powers and authorities in the unseen world form Ephesians 6. The conversation is amazing and the spirit was continuing to work. He even said things like, “I should stop swearing and clean up my language”, “Wow my brain is washed clean’, and “your life is this way and my life is this way and we happen to meet each other”, “I am seeing the world in color.”
Be amazed! Praise the LORD! He is good and wants this for more people! I wanted to share this story with you because it is a powerful testimony of GOD”s goodness and love for His people and HE does not relent. He works in the details even to a late appointment in order to bring about radical transformation the lives of His children.
