Hello Family, Friends, Loved Ones, and those who don’t know me yet.
My name is Andrew Hershey and I am currently living in Bismarck, North Dakota doing full-time youth ministry as a youth leader!! As far as school goes I attended the University of Northwestern- ST. Paul and then followed God’s calling to Mayville State University. I graduated college with my Bachelors in Business in May of 2015. Even though I live in ND now, I have moved around a lot and lived in both Illinois and Wisconsin growing up. I enjoy playing any type of sport whether that is football, basketball, baseball, soccer, or running I will do it all for fun. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places and this will be my biggest adventure yet! Meeting new people and hearing their stories is a true joy for me and anyone who knows me will probably tell you that I am a social butterfly. Some other interesting facts about me include: I enjoy riding a unicycle (very occasionally), and I ran my second marathon on October 9, 2016 in Minneapolis, MN.
God has taking me on an incredible journey in order to bring me to this place in my life. However, I have never been more excited for it! In Jeremiah 29:13 the Lord says, “You will seek ME and find ME when your seek ME with all your heart.” I have a desire to serve Him with all my heart wherever I am and to be able to share His love with the nations of the world! I know the Good News wasn’t just meant for me to keep it to myself, so I relate to Paul when he says, “My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else” (Matthew 15:20).
I’m so blessed to a part of this team that will go to the 10/40 window! This is the area of the world where the most unreached people are and I get to go reach them!! Anyway that’s just a little bit about me and I am looking forward to sharing more as I embark on this crazy, awesome adventure!
