To whoever may be reading this,
For those of you who may not know me, name is Andrew Galea, and I am a post-operative oncology nurse in Nashville, Tennessee. I have always felt the call to work with people and minister to them. Even in the worst of circumstances, I believe God’s desire is to grant people healing through the hands of believers, whether that is physical, emotional, or spiritual. Most recently, I have felt the weight of the knowledge that my life is not simply my own. I belong to the Redeemer who calls me to live a life of abandonment to self, carrying my cross daily. I believe God desires to take His message to all people from every corner of the globe. Outside of our borders, I sense that the harvest is indeed bountiful, and I feel the call to go out into the harvest.
Right now, God is preparing me to take part in a mission trip known as the World Race, an 11-month mission trip and discipleship program through the Adventures in Missions organization. While in the field, I will be working with different churches and ministry teams, spreading the Good News and serving populations in need through several mediums including construction, orphan ministry, sex trafficking relief ministry, and many more.
God has humbly shown me how important it is to have community, and as always, I need community in this next part of my journey as well. In order to be ready for the trip in January of 2019, I still need to raise approximately $18,000 to cover all expenses that the trip entails, including travel expenses and provisions. I humbly invite you to prayerfully consider being a part of this journey with me, whether that is financially, through prayer, or words of encouragement. Any of these would be an incredible help, and I am sure God will use all of them to impact both my life and the lives of those I will be ministering to in ways I cannot even begin to imagine. I would be forever grateful for any help you may be able to provide.
