We are in India!!! And things did not start off slowly, we got thrown right  into things.
Ministry this month is called operation saturation. We are working with a ministry whose vision is to see every village saturated with the gospel and with bible believing churches. So every day our team heads out to one of the surrounding villages to do outreach. There we meet with families and play with the kids. The people here are extremely hospitable, we can’t go to a single village without someone preparing a meal for us or go to single house without them giving us something, which is usually either chai tea (my favorite!) or sprite. It’s not at all difficult to find people, because the moment you get into the village people start to crowd, especially the kids. We end up entertaining a group of at least 20-40 kids in every village we visit.

In the evenings we run a service where we preach and give our testimonies and then afterwards we hold a prayer meeting. Sounds like a pretty simple set up, but it’s a crash course in ministry like you would not believe. Not only does time fly and things are difficult because of the language barrier, but God has been doing awesome things that have left us numerous times looking around and scratching our heads saying “did that just happen?” Even on our first night of ministry multiple people were healed, and there have been more since then. To some people that sounds crazy, to other people it sounds like an ideal ministry, but to us we are still just trying to figure out what is going on and to hear and follow God’s voice through it all. We are confident that we are in the right place and doing what God wants us to do.

So needless to say, God is really forcing us to be humble and step up to the learning curve. Whether it be miracles, praying for families, preaching, playing with kids, the whole team waking up sick, being fed way too much Indian food, sweltering in the heat when the power goes out, trying not to scratch the million bug bites I have right now, bucket showers, or getting crowded everywhere you stop because you are the only white people around, God has a lesson for you to learn. And so every day some of my expectations dissapear as I trust God more and more to do the leading. So although I don't know what the rest of this month or later months will look like, it's comforting to know that God is in charge and that He will lead and teach me every step of the way.
