Who is Andrew Redman?
A little bit about me:
I’m 22 years old turning 23 in July. I graduated from high school in 2010 from Heath Highschool in Heath Ohio. My favorite sports teams include The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Browns (clearly i live in Ohio). I easily listen to Christian and country music more than anything but i also listen to bands like mumford and sons. Im a big family person my family/friends mean the world to me. I have a huge heart for everyone in the world whether i know them or not. I fully came to the Lord the summer between my junior and senior year of highschool. I had always grown up a Christian and knew i believed in God but i never truly put my whole self into it. I was saved at church camp that summer and i finally started to give myself fully to God. Ive had my ups and downs since then but the great thing about it is God will always be right there by your side through all your triumps and all your trials. Every redemption story started somewhere why not let today be the beginning of yours?
choosing the race:
Ive always had a huge heart for everyone and missions work has been on my heart for a long time. I went on a mission trip to inner city Pittsburgh in 2010 that really solidified my heart for missions work. The thoughts of missions work were kind of on again off again from that point on. About two years ago I first started seeing stuff about the race from friends on Facebook who were going. I despised flying and swore I’d never leave the country so good for them but as for me going forget about it right? Wrong!
As time passed on I kept seeing the race pop up more and more but I still ignored it and believed it could never be for me. I was playing college baseball life was great why ruin it ? Finally during the fall of last year I decided to answer the call, I could feel the calling on my heart so heavy I was ready to burst. I applied, was accepted, went to training camp, and left with the July 2013 T Squad. But the story didnt end there i ended up leaving early and here i am now launching again in september by the Grace of God to finish the whole 11 months this time!
I’ve always had a heart to change the world and through Christ i can do just that (Philippians 4:13).
