17 days ago, I needed $3,700 to go on the World Race. I’ve spent each day since then battling the doubts in my mind about whether God would provide that amount – until today. That is because yesterday afternoon, just as He promised, and my squadmates relentlessly reassured me, God provided the rest of what I needed to leave for the World Race, and then some. I still haven’t quite processed all of what has transpired in the last few days, but I have figured out a few things:
1. God is good.
2. The Lord is who He says He is, and that will never change.
3. His faithfulness is far beyond my understanding, and is stronger than my doubts or unbelief.
4. Jesus loves me more than I could ever hope for or imagine, and with that comes fullness of joy.
5. God has chosen a broken sinner like me to work his purposes, and I am not alone in that regard.
6. The only thing I have to fear is God, and He’s on my side.
7. The will of the Lord cannot and will not be stopped by anyone or anything. Ever.
8. The Lord made me exactly who I am supposed to be, and He has equipped me with the Holy Spirit to live out His perfect plan for my Life.
9. God has put the most incredible human beings I’ve ever met into my life to support, challenge, empower, and live alongside me through what is going to be simultanously the best and most challenging year of my life.
10. God is good (I can’t say that one enough).
I don’t have much else to say, but I will leave you with a verse that has had incredible meaning to my life, and is as true today as ever:
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. – Psalm 73:26
One last thing. As of today, I am now 50% funded for the World Race, which means I have a little over 8,000 to go in order to be fully funded. My next deadline is October 31st, in which I will need $11,000 to remain in the mission field. Please prayerfully consider giving whatever you can to help me get there, not for my glory, but for God’s. I truly believe the Lord is going to do amazing things through me and my team in each of the 11 countries He is sending us, and I would love nothing more than to invite as many people possible into this incredible work.
