Here's just another entry from my thoughts at the end of the day.

So today was a pretty good day. My day started out nice and early as always with breakfast, then a bit of laziness. Then that led to lunch and eventually “Bamboo” hit the road to an area affected by the flood almost a year ago. Upon arriving to our destination, we began our cleaning efforts of picking up trash and hand cutting grass with long blades. That was simple and fun enough, but eventually the wooden handle of my tool began to rub a now current blister into my hand. So very quickly, I decided I would not continue that job because the bottom of both of my feet has blisters right in the middle of them the size of at least a small lemon, and I don’t want to add anymore to my body for the time being. Regardless, it’s a little painful walking around because my once well padded feet are now missing a nice thick section of skin.
Then after cleaning up the area, there was a game of 5 on 5 basketball initiated. I wasn't planning to play, but after my guys were short, I decided I would take one for the team and play in my sandals. Of course we one, and eventually we headed home and ate dinner, then we traveled to the night market after trying Taiwanese tea, and eventually went to meet up with the street kids. It’s really funny but sad how they come up to you and ask you for money. I always look at them and empty out my pockets and tell them that they should be giving me money. Then eventually they hold your hands and grab on to you. Two children I passed asked me for money, but I told them to keep following me and that I would get them some pan, "bread". Initially after being split up, my team regrouped at McDonald’s and handed out to the bread to children. We even took a few pictures as well, and we also played a few games too. They best part though is when you choose to get past your junk and love on these children and pick them up and carry them. Tonight the people on my team all had a child and were picking them up, but I didn’t really want to do it. Eventually this little girl didn’t have any one to take care of her, so I held her hand and eventually picked her up and she sat on my hip for as long as I can remember. And when she hugged me, she smiled so much and clung so close to me as if she never wanted to be let go of ever again! It really seemed like an honor and a privilege to hold this little girl as everyone stared. I could really care less at that point because I had the sweetest girl in the world in my arms and life!
