Through support from family and friends and Daddy, I have finally met my goal of $3,500 about a month before it's due!! I have people ask me if i'm still planning to go and how am I going to raise the money and I just tell them yes, and I don't know. It's not my job to figure it all out but to walk in obedience. In saying that, God is such an amazing provider and little by little He continues to remind me of His faithfulness. I live in Texas and we haven't seen much rain around here in a long time. Well today it was lightly raining and I said God, would you just make it rain? Like pour down? I don't care if you do it anywhere, but please do it here. Well before I left to go to the hospital today, it actually stopped raining. On my way headed back home, there was literally an area where it was pouring right before my house and not much past. Pretty crazy but I should've expected it because He is faithful and because I asked for it.
Then there is the thought of how am I going to raise all this money and how do I actually know if God is calling me to do this for sure…then there's the slap! He's gotten me this far, why not all the way? I even have new people sponsoring me now just out of the blue, so it's kind of like WOW! God you're being pretty serious, huh? Because first of all I can't stir in the hearts of man, but only He can. I certainly haven't done anything to explain the World Race to the last new four people who are supporting me. They're doing it all on their own with the help of Him! So as I continue to trust and cast my cares upon the Lord, He continues to amaze me each day! I bought my back and sleeping bag today, and my next purchase will be my sleeping bag. After that, on to training camp in October!! So pumped and excited!
Hope this wasn't too much of a ramble, but I needed to post something and I figured this would do!
Blessings and much love,
Andrew Holloway
