I've always told the guys that im pouring into (and the ones pouring into me have also told me this) that if you wanna be a disciple you gotta be FAT- faithful, available, and teachable. Well this is not onlytrue towards the people that the Holy Spirit is using to pour into us, but also with our relationship with God. If i pretend to know everything about Him, how am I going to learn to love Him? The pharisees tried thisand look how that worked. If im not faithful or available, how can i present myself to God and consistently seek His presence?
ANYWAYS, i say all that to say this: in my previous blogs, I talked a little bit about my struggle with doubt right? Well, because of this, stories of God's faithfulness encourage me probably more than anything else, and i've been praying that God would continually reveal Himself to me and also show me how He works in people's lives continually. And man has He been faithful, WHEN I'VE PRAYED. Last week, He showed me through my friend Corbin how the book of Acts is still happening (hit me up for more details, i dont feel like typing all that)! Then, i was "satisfied" and stopped praying, and nothing else happened, and then i got discouraged bc i didnt see anything else. Well, I started praying again, and today God sent me to the World Race newsletter and showed me the story of Errol (DEFINITELY CHECK IT OUT). Im starting to believe Jesus was serious about the ask, seek, and knock. But here is the key to remember, ask, seek, and knock IN MY NAME doesn't mean saying "in Jesus name" at the end of your prayers. Think about it. Talk about it. What you think it means?
Much love yall.
