You may be wondering why I have decided to go on The World Race. The short answer is I want to serve God. The long answer follows…. it began with my friend Ariel telling me about this crazy program that spends 9 months in three different regions of the world. I was interested at first but my main response was “that’s good for you, have fun”. I was set in attending a local community college for two years before transferring to a different school. Then over the course of just a few day’s I felt God leading me closer and closer to this program. I prayed about the program because I was unsure of what God wanted me to do. I decided to apply to the program and before I knew it I had my hour long phone interview with this cool guy named Andrew. I received a call saying that I was accepted to the trip! I was surprised, but excited at the same time. I couldn’t wait to start funding for my trip! I created my support letter and began to send them out. Still the thought of me trying to raise $13,000 in about 3 months was a difficult one to swallow. So I didn’t, I offered it up to God and he can choose to send me on this trip or he wont. Either way he will be in control if I let him or not. I have decided that I want to serve God, through this trip and through life,I want to grow spiritually in him through this trip. That’s if he is willing to send me of course! As for right now my prayer is short, God use me.
