Ministry this month has been an interesting dynamic!  My team, consisting of 9 men, has been spending much time with about 60+ girls ranging from 5-18 years old.  These girls all come from broken homes and if it were not for the ministry we’ve been serving under, Remember Nhu, they probably would have been sold into the sex trafficking industry (usually by their parents).  Often, because of poverty, the parents are given no other choice but to sell 1 of their children to have enough money for the rest of the family.  Other times, children are sold because their parents are on drugs or in prison.

(Eating Ice Cream with the girls)

These girls have been given an amazing opportunity through this ministry and the public schools that they all attend now.  They are all so very sweet and eager to learn, however since they rarely get a chance to go out into the public scene, we men decided to take them on a date after church on Sunday, to the local Dairy Queen (I know we are sweet too ha)!

(Two of the girls enjoying ice cream for the first time…)

This was such a blast!!  It probably looked funny to most of the locals to see so many young Thai girls surrounding us white guys, but regardless it was such a blessing to see how much fun they could have doing such a small thing.  For 4 of the girls, this was their first time eating ice cream!

(Eating lunch during the “new harvest festival”)

Please consider sponsoring one of these girls.  I have personally been able to see what $60/month can do and how you can literally impact lives!  Thank you all so much for your support.  I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving… also, please pray that we will somehow find some turkey to eat ha!
