So our time in El Nido, Philippines has been very amazing!  Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, but the people are also beyond friendly.  The local ministry we are serving under, International Care Ministry, has plenty for us to do so our days have been pretty packed:

(My team leader, Ryan Hughes, doing construction)

The government supports the local churches here and donated land to the ministry, so we have been building houses for the poor.  (To give you an idea of cost the total cost for a duplex, which can house two families, is about $3,500 US Dollars and has electricity).

(A trike…This has been our local transportation)

(Using a branch to protect myself from the rain as we went from house to house praying for the sick)

One day we took the trikes all over the island.  We visited churches and schools and a land site where we will be building a church.  As we went through the villages and prayed for the sick and crippled, it seemed like more opportunities to pray for people kept opening open….it definitely hit me hard that day that God was using us and this was not a vacation about to end!

(I’m not going to lie….we are having a blast hanging out in God’s beautiful creation!!)
