 I want a selfie with Jesus!! 

 

We made it to India!!! And it has been crazy but amazing! Amazing things happened but that will be part of my next blog! 🙂 Coming soon… 

 

For now I’m just gonna say I want a selfie with Jesus!!!! ….

 

Two days ago we were able to go to the market, Charminar, here in India. And I have to say it was insane! Thousands of people, cars passing by and almost hitting us hahaha but something that caught my attention was that everyone wanted a selfie with us. They don’t speak any English but they definitely know the word “selfie” (and what it means). Maybe it was the way we look that was not common for them, the way we speak, the way we act, the way we walk or maybe the way we eat and laugh. Who knows! But we were and still are famous, wherever we go they ask for selfies and they look so impressed and amazed by us. And it makes me think about Jesus and who he was and is. In Peter 3: 3-4 says “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God”. I don’t know what is in their minds when they look at us but I want to be like that with Jesus! I want to look at him and be amazed by his glory, his grace, his love, be passionate more and more every day! And I want to look like him, smell like him, walk like him, love like he does, be famous because of him so people can know him through us. So many times we lose ourselves just trying to follow something or someone else but what if we start to losing ourselves in Jesus to become more like him and love others as he does. Our lives will change.  In John 3:30 it says “ He must increase, but I must decrease.” 

So YESS!! Definitely, If I want a selfie it would be with Jesus!
