My Crazy Week

I’ve sorta fallen off the face of the earth this past week or so due to all the things going on in my family.  Here is the run down of how life has been and what I’ve been doing.

 

Went down to Anderson, IN for my little sister’s graduation over the weekend.  Spent time with her and some friends and celebrated the fact that graduation was here soon.

 

Graduation stuff all day.  Went to graduation, which was pretty good.  Sometimes the speaker they get is not intersting, but this year it was our ol (I say our, because Anderson is my Alma Mater) Deam of student affairs.  He is leaving this summer with his wife to go teach in Iraq at an American University.  He has a real heart and passion for the Middle East and he’s following it to teach there.  Amazing man, and a good speaker. 

 

Moving day!  We packed all of T’s belongings into the cars and went to her church down there and then it was off to home.  When we got home we had a surprize.  A huge 300 year odl beech tree that use to stand in our yard was laying in our neighbor’s yard!  Currently it still sits tehre as there ahsn’t been time to get some chainsaws and friends to cut the thing up into firewood yet.

 

Fairly normal day.  We had a cookout to celebrate Mom’s upcoming college graduation and then later that evening Dave and two fo his groomsmen came over.  A nice night before the craziness continued.

 

I spent another late night at school working on our program followed by a night of preparting my sister’s bachalorette party.

 

Went into work and worked on program stuff all day long while someone sub taught in my classroom.  I missed seeing my kiddos smiling faces but knew I had to get teh work done that day or it was never going to happen in time.  That night I rushed home and we were off to Mom’s graduation!  Much larger, but a good time and celebration with Mom.

 

 

Wedding preperation pretty much sums up the day.  Then bachaleretter party that night.  Super fun!  We went out to eat and then dancing.  We stayed at a hotel that night with just us girls and relaxed before the craziness came the next day.

 

Wedding stuff again.  Finalizing the picture show I created for Dave and Teresa and decorating for the reception.  It looked beautiful in there!  Then rehersal and dinner and the wedding party and some friends all hung out and Dave and Teresa’s apartment until late that evening.

 

The big day had finally arrived!  It was amazing and beautiful!  Things went off really well and Teresa was beautiful and David was so excited you could just see it all over his face.  I only got a bit choked up when giving my maid of Honor speach.  We had a blast at the reciption!  We dnaced teh night away!  It was fantastic.  It was a late night cleaning up, but we got it all done

 

Church in the morning and then I came home and slept for a few hours.  I needed it I was exhusted.  Then this evening was my preschool graduation prgram.  It went well.  I mean tehre are always the litlte things kids do that you aren’t ready for.  Like the crying ones, the one who was off to the side dancing the whole time not following along, but just felt the music and went with it.  Then, the three bys who yelled ever name after I said it as teh kids came up to get diplomas.  It went well though, but was a bittersweet experience.  It is a marker of the end of the year (though we have this week still) and while it’s nice to know I get a bit of a break, it’s tough to leave the kids.  I got an amazing surprize from the board of the program.  They gave me money towards the WR.  I was so surprized I ddidn’t expect that at all!
