Here is the May/June edition of my newsletter.  I know that it doesn’t have all the graphics as before, however I can’t remember how I did it last time.  So here is the vital informatin that I wrote in te newsletter.  I’m sorry it doesn’t look as nice as April’s edition.

Tee Shirts For Sale!
If you are a part of my Facebook group then you’ve already heard, but if not here’s the new news. I have an amazing friend who decided to design a tee shirt for me to sell to raise money. I am selling the shirts for $10 each for sizes S-XL and $12 for XXL. You can get them in one of the following colors red, blue, green, yellow, pink, or black. If you would like to purchase one please let me know. I must have your money before ordering and I also must have at least 100 orders to get the deal I am getting. So I will keep the ordering option open until that happens.   You can either give me the money personally if that is an option for you or mail it to me at the address listed on the other side of this newsletter. Below is the design for the back and the front says I supported Andrea White World Race January 2010.Gr

Meeting the Squad

It has been so exciting to see how our squad is growing daily. It seems every time I log onto our team web page there is someone new there on the page. It is exciting to see how we are already a squad of 50. I have been lucky to have the chance to already meet one squad mate. My new friend Angie lives in Fort Wayne and this past week we had the chance to meet and get to know one another a bit. It was so fun to share in conversation with someone who is also going on this journey and whom I’ve now found has a lot in common with me. Another praise is we got to meet so that the two of us could do an interview with a report from the News Sentinal for an article he is going to write about our journey towards the World Race. It should be showing up in the paper in a week or two. Keep your eyes peeled for it.

Angie and I also have the chance to meet up with some girls from the squad who live in Michigan. Later this month we are traveling up there and we’re all going out to lunch and to just take the chance to get to know each other. It is so exciting to have these opportunities to meet face to face even before training camp in October.

Another amazing thing that has been happening within our squad recently is a huge amount of openness amongst us all. A few weeks ago a squad mate made post to the team only blog just really laying out her whole heart and struggles, being brutally honest with us. That took courage and strength and we are all so grateful to her for doing that. It has inspired an outpouring on everyone else’s part to be just as open and honest with one another. People have been posting constantly on our team site telling everyone the deep down stuff about them. We’ve moved beyond the surface things and we are really starting to build real community. It is so awesome to see this happening even now. It would be so easy to stay in our safe little bubbles right now and wait to be real with one another when it was forced upon us, but we aren’t. We are all a bit scared about throwing everything out there on the table, but at the same time we are excited. We are so excited to see how we are growing together even now. We are becoming a close knit group already so I cannot wait to see how God grows our community in the coming months and especially once we get out there on the mission field.
