Okay this isn’t going to be the best blog I’ve written, but it is going to be informative.  I’m working on some more meaningful blogs, but until then I will just give you the run down of what I have been doing.  As the title says we are in Australia.  My team is in Darwin with team Love.Purpose.Power at the Christian Outreach Center.  Getting here was a bit of a long ordeal.  We started off leaving Wellington on January 29th for a 12 hour bus ride up to Auckland.  Long ride and in the back with the engine under us it got a bit warm.  I slept pretty much the whole way though so not a bad ride all together.  M:10 spent the night in the airport along with team Arete.  It was good to see them and catch up with how their month had gone.  We met up with the rest of the squad at 4am and got our tickets and headed for the plane to Brisbane.  We arrived at 7:40am and were exhusted.

We were so blessed to have spent the two days in Brisbane at the homes of some awesome people.  They didn’t know us or anything and gave us their homes to use and fed us.  It was amazing and we were blessed to have met them and been able to sleep in their homes for a few days.  M:10 went to a church just up the road and it was great.  Met lots of friendly Aussies and I enjoyed the worship with them.  We headed out of Brisbane on Monday February 1st.

When we got to the airport we found out that we had to wait about 12 hours to leave.  Our flight was canceed and there wouldn’t be another until 9pm that night.  So another day in the airport.  It was a blessing though.  There was a higher weight limit on the airline we got seitched to and so we didn’t have to get rid of anything we had and even had some weight to spare.  We liked this.  We arrived in Darwin at 12:30pm and were picked up by our contact and blessed to find we had great rooms to stay in with showers (again!!!) and beds (again!!)  We have hot showers, but it is so hot here we are thankful for the cold water….at least I am.  I don’t think I’ll take another warm shower and I’m okay with this fact.

While we are here at the COC we are doing odd jobs.  Folding and stapling booklets together, sorting begetables, working on the farm, putting beds together for the new hostel rooms, landscaping, working in the kitchen, just about whatever they need we are a part of.  It is a different month, but we are enjoying it and getting use to the heat.

I promise you there are more blogs on the horizon, and hopefully a picture blog and maybe even a video.  Hang with me and I’ll have more soon.  Thank you all for reading and keeping up with this.  I’m so excited to have people following along and watching what God is doing.  I pray for you guys each day and I miss you, but God is doing awesome things here and I know I’m walking in His plan and that is awesome!
