We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting….
This is a tough question to answer really, because I don’t know what God is going to do, but I’m going to give this a shot. I expect to….
-See God do amazing things
-Have God using me in awesome ways
-Be pushed beyond what I think I can deal with and have to lean on God to get me through
-Be blessed in ways I cannot imagine
-Be pushed out of my comfort zone many times in many ways
-Be changed into more of the woman God wants me to be
-Miss my family, friends, and the comforts of home many times
-Make friends who will be my family while I’m gone and be friends even after the race
-Hold babies, love children, reach out to widows, love those the world says are unlovely, and show the love of Jesus as best I can
-Worship in many different ways even when I don’t understand the language
-Fall in love with many places around the world
-Learn to see things through God’s eyes and have my heart break for the things they break His
-Long to share experiences I’m having with those I love at home
I suppose that this sums it up, at least for now. I know there are thigns I probably missed that I’ll think about later and there are things God will do that I have no expectation for at all. I look forward to whatever it is God is going to do!
