Rwanda – land of 1000 hills.  This country has truly lived up to it’s name.  This place is absolutely beautiful.  Everywhere you look there are mountains and valleys and gorgeous views.  This has been one of my favorite months so far.  We were blessed to stay with a great host and were well loved by them.

The following are a few things that may happen to you if you ever come to Rwanda:

-you may get to ride on bicycle taxis (aka best mode of transportation ever)

-you may stay with Pastor Moses and he may play a little joke on you and have you do a “cultural” practice that is not actually part of their culture.
-you may get to live in a little two bedroom, one living room house.
-you may receive a Rwandan name
-you may get to walk up and down a mountain every day. The view is well worth the exercise.
-your teammate may meet someone hoping to start a ministry and you may get to join her in a business meeting with this guy and his business partners.
-your teammate may rescue a dog and your pastor may allow you to bring it home as a pet.
-you may get to color in your Despicable Me 2 coloring book with little kids
-you may have random kids run up to you and give you hugs
-you may get to speak in front of the church at least once a week
-you may get to help put a cement floor in your pastor’s house
-you may get to help hand wash your hosts clothing.
-you may get caught in a torrential downpour and just laugh because this is your life right now.
-you may master public transportation
-you may discover Cadbury top hat chocolate bars and you may eat an abundance of them

-you may fall in love with your host’s kids and want to bring them back home with you.

-you may be given a Rwandan name…you can now call me Ingabire.

L Squad heads to Ethiopia on Saturday morning for month 6! Prayers would be appreciated!

Love you all!
