So I am sitting here, the night before my squad leaves for Cambodia, trying to put into words what I am feeling. I can’t do it. I don’t know how to describe what I am feeling. There are so many emotions yet I can’t seem to feel any; I feel numb. Don’t get me wrong, I am super excited but it’s also surreal and doesn’t feel like this journey is actually beginning. It has been such a long process since I got accepted back in October of 2013 and now it’s finally here!
These last few days here in Atlanta have been filled with training, teaching, encouragement, wisdom, team bonding, and so much more. It’s like a mini training camp but we aren’t going back home this time. I think we are all so ready to be able to put what they have been teaching us into practice. We are ready to spread the kingdom of God throughout ALL the nations! I have been asked by a few people if I am nervous about leaving the country or just the journey in general and I can honestly say there hasn’t been a doubt in my mind that this is what God has planned for me for the next year and I am so stinkin’ excited to see how God is going to work in the lives of my squad, team, people in each of the countries, family, friends, and me. It’s going to be great!
A song we sang at training camp stated:
“I have a plan for you,
I have a plan for you,
It’s going to be wild,
It’s going to be great,
It’s going to be full of me.”
I truly believe every one of these words and am ready for the wild adventure that God has planned! So here we go! 10:45 a.m. our flight heads to Dallas, then L.A., then China and then CAMBODIA!
Also for those of you who haven’t seen my facebook post, we have already had a ROUTE CHANGE! So instead of going to Botswana, Swaziland, and South Africa, we will now be headed to Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia!
Please keep all of us in your prayers as we head out tomorrow and pray for patience and endurance as we travel for 2 days and then start ministry the following day.
Thank you all for your support and love! I love you all!
~Andrea
