2014 is going to be a big year for me.  So many things are going to happen that I know I won’t be ready for; but honestly, I’m not too worried.  God’s got it all under control!

Anyways, as for the changes that will be happening in my life, here are a few of them:

#1. I will be graduating from Malone University on May 3rd!  The past 3 ½ years at Malone have been wonderful.   I have made life-long friends and I am so excited to see where every one of them ends up.  Every time I think about graduation I get a little teary-eyed.  It is going to be so hard to say good-bye to everyone knowing that there is a chance that I may not see some of them again…but I can’t think about that yet.  I still have a WHOLE semester left to continue to build my friendships.

The next big change isn’t necessarily a huge change for me as it is for others; but I am quite excited for them…

#2. Weddings, weddings, and more weddings.  Two of my cousins will be getting married this summer; one in Colorado, the other in Ohio.  They are both around my age so it is crazy to think that we are old enough to be getting married.  But, I am very excited for both of them; they have picked some good ones.

My best friend from high school is also getting married!  I am so excited that I will get to be a part of the wedding.  We have gone through a lot together and I am so happy that she has found the love of her life.

*My dear friend, Jill who is getting hitched in August!

The 3rd big change is probably the most obvious one of all:

In exactly 9 months I will be leaving family, friends, my church, my comforts of home, my dog, my car, everything, except a backpack, tent, sleeping bag, and a few other things to travel the world for 11 months.  It is going to be the most stretching experience of my life but I am SO excited to begin this journey.  I can’t wait to meet my squad and my team and travel the world with them while changing lives and having our lives changed as well.

I’m excited to find out what kind of ministry we will be doing.

I’m excited to live in 11 different countries.

I’m excited to learn how to live a minimalist lifestyle.

I’m excited to meet people from all different walks of life.

I’m excited to see the world.

I’m excited to see how God uses me and my introverted self.

Let’s just say I’m pretty excited…

The World Race won’t only affect me and my squad but it will also affect my family, friends, and anyone else who has decided to join me in this journey.  So, I hope that each one of you will join me in this journey and will be blessed by it.  Continue to pray for my squad and the countries I will be travelling to as well as my family and friends.

I hope you all have had a great start to the year!  Make this the best year yet!

–And again, I am still working on selling T-shirts.  I have quite a ways to go to meet my goal of selling 75 shirts.  They are only $15 each! Let me know if you want one!
