I was thinking back to my freshman year of college, to a conversation I had with a classmate after a World Politics class. I was the youngest of the young as a Christian; faith of a mustard seed. My classmate said that he was planning on going on a missions trip to Indonesia through his church, and I thought that would be interesting. But when he said that there would be hostility and that there are dangers in bringing the Word, I told him, “I give you a lot of credit, I couldn’t do that.”
Two months later the Lord began putting in me a desire to be sent to the nations, and although I was involved with the International Ministry on campus, I have not acted upon His call until now — 5 years later. I still remember saying, ‘I couldn’t do that’. Just recognizing how far Christ has brought me; delivered me from the depths of the grave and into freedom. How amazing and it is something that only the living God can do.
He asked me to seek. I sought and desired to know more.
He asked me to knock. I knocked because I desired to enter into life.
He said I would find. I found that you begin life on your knees in repentance before Him.
