Saying goodbye begins.
Interestingly enough, ‘goodbye’ comes from godbwye (1573) which is a contraction of
God be with ye. [http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/good-bye] We linguistic junkies live off what we can get from etymology. 🙂
That God will indeed be with me, may comfort some. And for others, be glad that such thought comforts me. I already have the sense of being sent out like someone going into battle. There’s training, preparation, equipment, and prayers. It may take some time for many to really come to terms with this departure, like it occurs often with those close to the soldiers being sent out.
The reason I write this specific post is to ask for more prayer. More specifically, to network an even larger group of people to create something like a prayer blanket for protection in every dimension of life.
Thank you all who have been faithfully praying throughout these weeks and months.
Please do not cease.
