Here we are month 11! Im amazed that it has almost been a whole year all around the world with nothing but gods love and whatever he sets before me. This past month my team was placed In Andhra Pradesh working with SCH Ministries.
SCH ( Sarah’s Covenant Homes) for (special needs orphans) was started by a woman named Sarah, inspired by the lord calling her to collect all of these children that were abandoned because of their disabilities.
Here in India they have a cast system ( that basically places you at where your worth is in this life) These children in this Hindu culture are considered garbage and worthless. These precious babies and children have been found abandoned in the streets, left in taxis, as well as the “state orphanage”. Basically a place where the children are collected and left to die in their own feces unless someone comes to claim them.
Their are three main homes, One for the little babies
Victory Home for the majority of them of them (105) children.
Many of these kids go to school that are capable of learning and are even being adopted from families in America.
God is moving incredibly through this ministry in these kids and the woman taking care of them. Many of the woman have accepted christ and hold worship and bible studies leaving their Hindu traditions and false gods behind.
This month is by far one of the most precious and rewarding to me from this year.I am beyond humbled from these children and this christian organization that pores out all their hard work and love for the lord. Working with 105 special needs children is very challenging and tiring. But I always leave feeling like they gave me more love and attention then I could ever give them.
These children have monthly supporters for their surgeries, food, diapers, and schooling depending on the age of the child you sponsor! So if the lord leads you, here is the website www.schindia.com!
