This month we’ve been working at ‘The Lighthouse’ which is a Christian homeless shelter that provides food and clothing for the homeless throughout the week.

The Slavedriver, aka Rashaun (I’m probably butchering the spelling of his name), runs the show.  He loves his nickname but he definitely doesn’t live up to it…that is, unless you consider surprising us with pizza, donuts and cookies roughin’ it J

The Slavedriver (Rashaun πŸ™‚
 He’s not so tough πŸ˜‰

Everyone that works at the Lighthouse are amazing people with huge hearts and ridiculous senses of humor. We make sandwiches, clean, sort clothes, worship, and just have a fun time together. Here are some pic’s to give you an idea of what we do…

 worship time *
I was taking a break from making sandwiches to read a daily devotional off the wall… I can never only read one!  They’re too good to put down πŸ™‚

Anmari and I cleanin up the kitchen while singing up a storm!

the door accidently fell off the stove when it was being cleaned hahaha oops!

Not sure why I look so excited, but it probably has something to do with singing loudly, whipping someone with a towel or flicking eachother in the throat  haha πŸ™‚

So organized…

sometimes we play dress up πŸ™‚

i feel like we should have rollerskates on πŸ™‚

Richard and I right after an awesome conversation of how we came to know God on a more personal level…surprisingly similar stories πŸ™‚

 More cleaning and singing …

who needs coffee when you can get a good towel whipping to wake you up?! …the only downfall is when you’re not skilled in this area…like me. haha

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
