I wish I wouldn’t put off writing when I have so much on my heart to tell you about!! I apologize ahead of time if this seems really scatter brained.
To put it plain and simple, I absolutely love Romania. I love the people, the beautiful scenery, the peace I feel here, and God’s presence surrounds us everywhere we go.
Our ministry this month has been serving along side of Pastor Z throughout Romania. We began in the city of Targu Mures evangelizing on the streets.
After about a week or so, we packed our bags and drove out to the Carpathian Mountains where we stayed in a small village complete with horse and buggies. The churches here have put together four Christian concerts that we’ve been spreading the word about- mostly through passing out flyers and talking to the gyspsies and people that live in the villages. We’ve been putting on our own mini-concerts, sharing testimonies, sharing the gospel, performing skits and praying for those in need on the days between the bigger concerts.
We’ve had so many opportunities to spread the joy that God has placed in our hearts, it’s been so amazing.
I’ve been trying to prepare more and more to share my testimony. I’ve been praying that God give me more opportunities to share how He’s worked in my life – He’s provided that for sure. My latest prayer has been that He give me the boldness to stand up when those opportunities arise- again, He’s provided by giving me a boldness I’ve never had before. The past few times I was “ready”, I didn’t end up needing to go so I figured when the time was right, I’d just go with it. Well, it was finally time. This past Sunday we went to the local church which was so wonderful. Our ministry contacts are such an amazing group of people.
You can feel such a passion and desire to know God more and spread His word among all of them, and let me tell you, it’s contagious! I love it! During the service, the pastor asked if anyone would like to give their testimony, and before I knew it, there I was front and center!
J I won’t go into all of what I said, but I will say that God was with me and someone in the congregation needed to here what was said. I closed with this verse:
Jeremiah 29: 11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
It’s awesome how God doesn’t leave you hanging when you’re walking in His will for you. I gave my testimony in one of the gypsy villages and the focus of it was so different from what I said during the church service. I love that He can use different parts of our story to connect with the people that He wants to hear the message.
The concerts have been such a success. We’ve had everyone from young kids to 80 year olds praising together. At the end of the concert, we ask if anyone that would like special prayer to come up to the front of the stage. We’ve been praying that God would just show us miracles because we knew that He could do it and we were ready to see it.
love it.
Today is the last concert, so please keep it in your prayers. We’re hoping for the biggest turn out yet and for God’s presence to be overflowing through the crowd.
Thank you again for all of your love and support. This month has been filled with God’s goodness and I can feel His protection over us. I truly appreciate all of your encouraging words, please keep them coming!
In other news, I’ve recently made it over the $13,000 mark!!!! I’m at $13,080…PRAISE GOD!!!! He is SO good. Thank you SOO much to everyone who has been able to support me financially. I wouldn’t be able to do this without you and I promise LIVES are being TRANSFORMED.
