Here I am sitting in this cute little coffee shop as I scratch a million little bug bites that are completely covering my arms, specifically my elbows, from working up on the mountain…they’re starting to bleed, but i’ll take that over the unbearable itching! Other than that, flies are swarming about as I try to form some thoughts on how I’m feeling as home approaches us so quickly…

At one of the spectrum, I am soooo ready to see everyone that I’ve missed this year!! I cannot wait to give my fam and friends huge hugs, and I can’t wait to hang out with all my nephews!!!!! My gosh, have I missed them!!

I also can’t wait to eat a nacho supreme from Taco Bell….mmmm!! I’ve only seen one Taco Bell this entire race, and it happened to be on one of our 3 hour busrides so we couldn’t stop…boo! 🙂 That’s okay though, I see the light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
At the other end of the spectrum, I cannot imagine what my life will be like without my family on the squad. We have literally not left eachother’s sides for 11 months. At the place we’re staying, our contact surprised me with my own room since there’s an odd number of people, and although I was super excited about it at first, once I put my stuff down and closed the door, I was bored and wanted to know what everyone else was doing. That night I moved all my stuff into Ashley and Lili’s room and I haven’t been back in my own room since… it’s our last month, I gotta take advantage of being around the people I love while I can!
it’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!
I would noot recommend taking any shortcuts down the mountain!
if you think they look bad, you should try smellin them!
