Within the last two weeks, I’ve made my way from the sand covered village of Sumbawanga, Tanzania to some random city in Qatar for an hour layover to the extremely busy streets of Bangkok, Thailand to Pattaya, Thailand.   From the moment I stepped off the plane into Bangkok, I absolutely loved it. It reminded me of the feeling I got when we got off the train in Romania from Ukraine. Love at first step, if you will.

The squad stayed together in Bangkok for a couple of days, and then we all split up, and my girls and I made our way into Pattaya which is about 2 hours south of Bangkok right on the Gulf of Thailand. Pattaya is the 2nd biggest tourist city in Thailand and has the same look and feel of Bangkok.

As much as I have loved it here, my heart has been breaking since we arrived. We’ll be spending some time with a local organization here that goes out to the bars in the evenings and talk with the girls working and men that are looking for satisfaction through them. I honestly don’t know what that will look like, but I am so glad we’ll be a part of this ministry. I know the Lord will guide us to the people He wants us to speak to and He’ll provide the words to say.
very accurate of what the streets look like here

We’re also working with Step Ahead doing quite a bit of outreach ministry. We’ve visited some orphanages, a women’s HIV home (Agape House) where we were able to encourage and pray over the women. We’ve also learned a decent number of Christmas carols in Thai which we’ll sing in the various church’s we attend over the next few weeks. The women of Agape House heard our grand debut the other day which they seemed to enjoy  J   We’ll also be traveling to different church’s in Pattaya, Bangkok and in villages outside the city. We’ll be doing a bit of preaching, singing Christmas carols (in English and Thai – hooray!), and putting on skits.

Please pray for my team and my squad as we do the Lord’s work in Thailand.   This is a world entirely different than anything I’ve experienced or seen. Please pray for protection, guidance and boldness.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers* I love and miss you all. I hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas season <3  …and drive safe!
