Month 10. 2 months left. 2 countries left.
How to describe how I feel…
I really can’t believe this is almost over. For the past year and 4 months I’ve been planning for the race, preparing for the race and then I was finally ON the race. For the past 9 months, I’ve been trying to pour everything I have into my teams, our contacts, our ministries, friends we’ve met along the way, and of course, my relationship with Jesus.
Coming onto the race, I expected to be challenged by nearly everything we did. I’d never been on a mission trip before, never traveled abroad besides for vacations and didn’t even really know what it meant to have a relationship with Christ. As I should have expected, He provided everything I’d needed and then some.
With 2 months and 2 countries left, I’m left wondering what else I want out of this. One thing I’ve learned about myself on the race is that I move past challenges fairly easily. I know the Lord has done amazing things through me this year and I know that He doesn’t run out of anything for us…so I’m left with the question of what else I want to go for this year. Tracy had a great point for me the other day- Take some time to reflect how far He’s brought me this year, what He’s taught me, etc., and then use this as a starting point for moving forward instead of being content where I am and allowing myself to coast. What that looks like I have no idea, but I would love prayers for Him to reveal it to me. I know that I want to dive into more intimate time with Him, so I’ve already been starting into that which has created more of a desire for it already. I’m praying for new revelations, more dependence on Him and for a deeper relationship with Him.
Sidenote: Praying for the victims of the latest earthquake in Japan.
