So I was hanging out with Jesus last night, and I started asking
Him some questions about life.  One that
came up is pretty common amongst most people…

What is Your will for my life?

Although I had hopes of new revelation and a grand plan of
what was next, He replied with two simple yet powerful words.

“Follow me.”

It’s wild to think that all we are really called to do is marinate
ourselves in His presence and in relationship with Him, and by doing so, we end
up wreaking
of Jesus. And as He begins to overflow in us, the fruit of the spirit leaks out
into our relationships and those we encounter each day, no matter the
length of the interaction.  We, however, get so wrapped up
in doing and planning that we miss out on the idea of simply being with Him.  The obligation
and routine of doing are no more, and
our serving Him and knowing Him comes from a place of love, pure intentions, and
a desire to walk in obedience!  We finally stop asking God why there’s so much
suffering in the world and instead begin to take responsibility for what WE are
going to do about it.  Heaven on Earth? Yes, please.

And of course we’re
not always going to know where He’s leading us when He asks (implying we do indeed have a choice) us to follow Him!  The definition of adventure has various meanings based on the season of
life we’re in, but regardless I don’t believe He wants the adventure to
end.  It would be so easy to bust ahead to the destination
if He gave us all the juicy details, but it’s not about the destination – it’s
about the journey, which is happening right here, right now!  He leads one step at a time and provides
information on a need to know basis. How exciting to be part of a story that the Maker of Heaven has written!   We are living out the good ol’ days as we
speak, and we have the ability to make them as great (or not so great) as we
want them to be!  We can choose in or choose out.  It blows me away that I-piddly ole me!- was chosen to be able to see Jesus’ greatness,
goodness, faithfulness and fierce love and loyalty in all His glory play out one day at a time!  And for the days when impatience get’s the best of me, please feel free to remind me that the great unknown makes life the adventure it was meant to be! 🙂

Follow me, He says… haha

I wouldn’t have it
any other way 🙂
