In my opinion, God was working some magic when our train tickets to Targu Mures got mixed up.

Some of you may have read what God did when I went sky diving for the first time back in December. We were supposed to go at about 3pm, but due to weather delays and a big line, we waited for about 5 hours before we were told we may not be able to go. Right as we were losing all hope, they gave us two thumbs up and we were back in business! We rode up in the plane and were able to jump during the most beautiful sunset. The wait was so worth it. I think God wanted to show us a bit more of who He is. We can take things into our own control or we can look to Him for guidance and experience more of life than we could even imagine. God is so good.

(since i don’t have any pics from my first sky diving experience, this sunset from Romania will have to do 🙂

So now back to the train to Targu Mures…

After we got situated on the train, I got another few hours of sleep in which was pretty amazing in itself. After I woke up, we were straight into the most amazing scenery. It looked like we were riding through a painting.   I’ve never seen The Sound of Music (which apparently is like a sin in my teammates eyes haha), but I would imagine that would be a good way to describe what it looked like. After passing through the beautiful hillside and little villages, we entered into the mountains.

I was truly overwhelmed at the beauty that we saw while making our way through God’s creation. There have been a few specific times in Ukraine that I felt this awesome feeling of peace and appreciation for what He has made (mostly including the Black Sea), and now that feeling was coming on once again.

(if you look real close, you can see the Cross at the top of the mountain 🙂

The fact that God chose me to desire more, to desire His grace and unfailing love is amazing in itself, let alone the fact that He chose me to go on this crazy, ridiculous, unbelievable adventure. He has brought me out of my comfort zone. He has introduced me to some of the amazing people I’ve ever known! He has taken me to places I’ve only dreamed of going. He has chosen me to experience things that are so surreal, it’s hard to even put them into words.

God has been so faithful. He has shown me that NOTHING is impossible as long as we are open and willing to Him taking the lead.

Would I have ever even imagined that I would be sitting in Romania right now? It literally makes me laugh to think about because it’s so far from anything I could have pictured for myself.

I have no idea what the next chapter of my life will bring and I would have it no other way. God is writing my story, and I’m sure He’ll include plenty of twists, turns and challenges to overcome. I trust Him so completely to bring me through it all.

In my opinion, it was a blessing that we missed out train.   We were able to see His glory shine so bright in the wide open valleys filled with sunflowers and mountains topped with bright white clouds.

God is so good.

Look around and enjoy the beauty that He’s surrounded you with J I love and miss you all!!
