Today is the day!
After four days of fellowship, worship, and empowerment the day of departure has finally come!
My squad and I have been tenting in the front lawn of Virgina Theological Seminary (http://www.vts.edu). What an incredible blessing it was, to be able to have showers, bathrooms, air conditioning, etc. My deepest gratitude to you, VTS.
Launch has been exactly what I have been needing before diving into ministry around the world. The staff was awesome and imparted wisdom on us that spoke to some deep parts of my spirit that needed some words. God is just so faithful! I just cannot wait to see what He does in and through my team. Seriously. I know He's going to blow my mind right outta the water with how mysterious, fierocious, deep, loving, merciful, good, true and endless He is. !!!!!!! SO good.
So here is what the next few days look like:
Tonight at 10pm we board a 14-hour flight from D.C. to Doha.
From there, we board a 5-hour flight from Doha to Nairobi, Kenya!
So much traveling! So many in-flight movies to watch! 🙂
OK so backtracking to God's faithfulness, He has boosted my support account to $12,506.05! Words are not adequate to express just how thankful I am. God is Provider. All of you who are supporting me, THANK YOU. I cannot wait to get out into the world, be a witness to the kingdom of the Lord and share it with you all! Thank you so much for making this trip a reality.
Please be praying for safety and patience (lots of it) as we travel for the next couple days. Pray for unity in my team. Pray for an overhaul of the Spirit. Pray for confidence and boldness. My team and I are partnering with a church in Siaya, Kenya to evangelise door-to-door, lead women's/men's ministries, VBS and possibly more. I am praying that the Lord opens our lives and hearts to whatever it is He wants to do in Siaya through us. Pray for an awareness of what God is doing there.
To all of you back home, I hold you close to my heart and think of you often. I know that I am covered in love and prayer. You have no idea how empowering that truth is in my life. Thank you.
I am excited. God is on the move. And we're on a mission to find Him.
