Well.
Made it to 2012.
This blog doesn't really have anything to do with the new year… 🙂
So, here's a rundown of what's been goin' on!
This month, the Y Squad men and women are doing separate ministries. The men are all together in Kanchanaburi while the ladies are in four different locations. I am so excited for the men to grow deeper and call each other to greater levels of intimacy with the Father. SO COOL! While I wish all of the ladies could be together, I know God has the teams split for a reasons beyond me. I get the opportunity to spend the month with three teams of ladies, fifteen total, at SHE Thailand. We are here in Phuket, Thailand, going into the red light district to meet the bar girls, build relationships with them by showing them the love of Christ. We bring them a love they have never experienced or known. We give them attention in the most pure way, something they rarely receive. We see them for who they are and not for what they do. We speak to their hearts and souls and show them a new way, the way to true life. We bring with us a safety, security and trust. We shower them with grace and lovingkindness. We give them the unconditional, unrelenting love that we have been given from our Father. We bring peace amidst the chaos and calamity that surrounds. We expel darkness with the Light residing in our hearts. We shake up the natural by calling upon the Spirit of the Living God. We pull heaven down and spread it around the streets. We intercede for this city. We intercede for these women.
At the same time, we are learning to do this for each other. We are growing together. We are called to be Jesus for each other. We are learning how to show this same love to each other. We are all daughters of God. We are family, sisters. This love is not only for those women in the bars. It is for all and all should be treated accordingly. God is love and He is in me. What does that make me? How then must I live? What does this mean for those around me? How must I respond to my family, to my sisters, to the world? He is my life. "You have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." He is my life. He is my everything. I have a responsibility. I have an anointing and calling to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth. This starts with those God has placed in my life, in my family, my church, my brothers and sisters in Christ. It starts with us fighting for the freedom and the life Christ has for all of us. He wants to give us so much more. Let's get the stuff from Him and give it to each other!
