Swaziland is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever seen. We were greeted with breathtaking sunrises every morning, and had gorgeous sunsets every night, both over the mountain ranges that surrounded us on either side. The stars were more vibrant than anywhere else. And the weather felt like September in Indiana. It was perfect.

The organization that runs The World Race, Adventures In Missions, has a base in Manzini, Swaziland – which is who my team was partnered with for the month of May.

AIM has 33 carepoints throughout Swaziland. Each carepoint provides food, love and Jesus. Its a place for kids to get food but also a place for character growth and discipleship. Its a place for kids to go where people care about them.

I walked every day to the Timbutini carepoint with Heather and Jarin. We helped teach preschool in the mornings and loved on the kids through the afternoons.

We built many relationships within this community, which made it another difficult goodbye. But we were told before we left for the race that if it wasn’t a hard goodbye each month, then we weren’t doing it right.
