Well if you've made it to this page, chances are you probably know me already….but if you just happened upon my profile: Welcome!

The first thing you should know "about me" is that I tend to talk a lot which transfers into typing a lot but for your sake – I'm going to try my very best to keep this brief and give you an actual glimpse of who I am without exhausting your eyes…and your computer battery.

I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English (with that said – be easy on the judging of any spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc. because clearly my excitement is more important than that stuff.)

In July, I completed my year internship of working with the youth group at my home church, Faith Bible Church and LOVED it.

So…I'm all graduated, finished my first internship, am unemployed and the biggest question remains: what next?! Well, Jehovah-jireh – God IS my provider, and dropped this trip right in front of me!

Over-seas missions has always been something very near and dear to my heart. However, until this past year, I never saw myself realistically taking part in long-term missions. Sure, I dreamt about it, spoke about it, gave it a lot of thought but to actually take part – I never felt bold enough. I loved my short-term trips and have always loved learning about cultures but being physically uncomfortable and in unfamiliar places wasn't really my cup of tea. However, the Lord calls us and continually refines us into people who should relentlessly strive to walk as He walked, and love as He loved; so, I am answering His very stretching call of "go." In John 21, Jesus appeared to Simon Peter for the first time after his resurrection, and he asked him "Do you love me?" Simon Peter answered, as many of us would, "Lord, you know I love you." Jesus responded by commanding him to take care of His sheep. I relate with Simon Peter in my quickness to reply "Yes Lord – I love you!" In my readiness to raise my hands in worship and proclaim that I love Him loudly, but to truly love Jesus and show my obedience – I must live as He lived (I John 2:6). As written in Micah 6:8, He requires me to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God. As explained in James 1:27, "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."

That's it. I am answering, "Yes Lord, you know that I love you. So, I will go where You lead me." Taking care of those who can't take care of themselves. Bringing hope to the hopeless. Being a voice to the voiceless. Loving others. Teaching others. Equipping others. Making disciples. ALL in the name of our King and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

So…now you know "about me." As a reward for making it this far, I give you this song, which has been very near and dear to my heart during this entire process. I hope that by reading more into my journey through this adventure that you will find yourself seeking Christ more and more and listen to how and where He's calling you!
