There’s a mysterious beauty that surrounds us.
Have you ever paid attention?
The way nature sings to the creatures, and the way the wind speaks to softly to our hearts…
The stillness of the air sometimes brings about the loudest peace… The whispers within our spirits find their voice, and boldness rises as wind gusts. We long to be fearless and free just as nature, fierce and gentle all at once…
Nature has not a care, not a care in the world.
No worries, no thoughts, no financial obligations- only to exist. Bynkt existing it accomplishes it’s purpose by bringing glory to God, by directing our attention to Him and reminding us of His majestic beauty and worth.
Nature is mysterious and captivating.
Matthew 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”
Perhaps this is why we find nature so captivating… Nature rests in exactly what it was created to be. No obligations or worries. Every part of nature knows where it belongs and rests in contentment of how God created it to be. Birds are content in being birds, knowing their every need is provided as they play the role they were created for.
Maybe we should become more like nature. Maybe you and I should learn to be content in who God designed us to be. Maybe we should embrace the role we have been given instead of trying to juggle what we know to be our God given role and what the world tells us our role should look like. Maybe we should learn to be content in Christ… Seeking only more of Him.
What would that look like? We could say “so long” to insecurity, goodbye to offense, relationships would be healthy because we would learn that God truly has our hearts in His hands. Being content in Christ doesn’t mean we stop trying to grow, it just means we start operating in the ways God designed us to operate. It means we rest in the role given to us as individuals and stop striving to be something we aren’t.
Be content in Christ. He loves you, He will take care of you! Be the person He designed you to be! No one else can play your part! No one. Stop stressing about bills! God is your provider! Stop stressing about friendships- just be the friend God designed you to be and let your heart rest with Him. Stop worrying about your future and walk each day in the steps He leads you to take.
Learn to be content in Christ, in who He created you to be. You will never be at rest if you keep trying to keep up with the world and what it tells you to be… The world will never let you be good enough, the world will never give you approval… God on the other hand, created your purpose, molded your heart, and is pleased with you. What more do you need to rest in?
With all the love in my heart,
Andie
